MERRILL LYNCH FINANCIAL AND OXTOBY PROPERTIES PROJECT:
Mixed Residential/ Commercial

This office building addition was the first new commercial infill in over 15 years in Downtown Springfield when it was designed and built. An expansion of an existing Historic mixed use block of buildings (Pasfield 1894 and Maldaners 1888), the owner and the primary tenant required a building which matched in style and historic details, the existing facades.

The architect had designed the restoration of those historic buildings 20 years before and carefully redesigned and integrated new and old into the enlarged facility. Merrill Lynch and a law firm are housed on separate floors in both the Oxtoby Building addition and the Pasfield Building.
